D COUNTER TRACKER

Ryu will start in Strings with 5% to his in-game D-Counter. If/when he canon updates, it will raise in accordance to the place he reaches in canon, and in intervals of 5, because 5 is the coolest number and is nice and solid.

The D-Counter is going to be a guideline for general physical health, too - even early in the game, Ryu will raise the thought that shit, he might be dying from this. So if that rises, I should throw in little cues as to the deterioration of his health over time.

The 'slow death to eventually become a dragon's new suit' part of the D-Counter is frozen in Strings, but rising due to canon updates is a given.

As for the D-Counter concerning Odjn the Persona! It'll start at 00.00%, and go up as he - predictably - bypasses using the Persona to use his D-Link powers. This Counter raising means an increase in the strife between himself and Odjn Descendant, and can have ~*~fun effects~*~!

Current Persona D-Counter: 02.00%, mostly accumulated by using D-Dash at risky moments during his previous time at Strings.

0.00%: Persona operates as normal.
0.01-9.99%: No lasting effect detected, and no direct 'reprimanding' - but the Persona will begin delaying appearances when called by a few long seconds or so, as if reluctant to 'answer the bell.' The delay will increase at higher stages - at a base variance of 1-3 seconds, the entire number range will go up by 1 second per stage.
10-19.99%: Buffs will occasionally fail to effect the Persona for no apparent reason. The percentage chance of this happening will go up as the Persona reaches further stages in the counter - it starts at a 5% chance, and goes up in increments of 5% from there.
20-29.99%:
30-39.99%:
40-49.99%:
50-59.99%:
60-69.99%:
70-79.99%:
80-89.99%:
90-99.99%:
100% and up: The Persona is now impossible to summon without it going wildly out of control. Use of the D-Link even beyond this point will result in it becoming outright impossible to summon at all, and if he persists, a semi-counter may have to be drawn up to represent it effecting his ability to use even other Personas.

And, because RP is fluid, of course I'll play around with Odjn Descendant fucking up in other ways as is apparent for dramatic effect.
